BlackBerry plans to do an update to the Android Runtime on the BlackBerry 10 OS in the near future. If given proper schedule then starting in June, Jelly Bean Android-based Runtime 4.2.2 started rolling along with OS 10.2 SDK Beta.
With the presence of this update, later compatibility Android apps for the BlackBerry 10 will be wider again, and of course, the performance would be improved considerably. Currently 10 still adopt Android BlackBerry Runtime 2.3 Gingerbread, so compatibility with Android apps is still minimal and performance is not perfect.
